Orbis publication
Orbis serves as an alternative progressive voice for the Vanderbilt Community. The publication offers liberal, multicultural, and minority viewpoints to the Vanderbilt Community. It also serves as a forum for the discussion of social, political, and religious commentary.

HISTORY
Orbis was granted associate status in the Spring of 2001 by the VSC Board of Directors and became a full division in the Spring of 2002.

FREQUENCY
The Orbis is scheduled to publish eight issues during the 2005-06 academic year. The average issue is 20-24 pages with 2,000 copies printed.  It is distributed free at about 30 sites on campus, 4 sites in the surrounding community, and by mail to paid subscribers

STAFF
The Orbis staff is comprised of approximately 20 students, including the Editor-in-Chief.

FACILITIES
The Orbis office is located in 122 Sarratt Student Center.
